Badger Skulls Alumni Association
The BSAA celebrated its first anniversary in April and is forging ahead with its second operational year.  Look for an annual report in the mail this summer about how the alumni association is supporting the undergraduate chapter, connecting with the alumni base and investing the Spraker endowment funds.

Our primary goals for 2010 include expanding the BSAA membership roll to 75, collecting $3,000 in alumni dues and continuing our efforts to purchase property for the active chapter's use. 

Please help us reach our goals for 2010!  At the time of this writing the BSAA has 34 members and has collected just under $1,850 in dues.  Current alumni of the Alpha Theta Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma can pay dues as follows:
    Annual Dues $18.50
    Lifetime Dues $500.00

The BSAA and the Alpha Theta Chapter are teaming up once again to host a joint alumni-recruitment event.  Please join us on Friday, September 24th at Miller Park to see the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Florida Marlins. 

Feel free to hitch a ride or meet us at the stadium.  An organized car pool  will leave from Madison at 3:45 and arrive at 5:00 - details to follow.  Tailgating with brats and burgers will follow.  Game time is 7:10.

Annual Meeting Election Results

The annual meeting of the Badger Skulls Alumni Association took place on Saturday, April 17th.  Jon Goldstein and Curt Klinkner were re-elected to the board of directors by a vote of the association's members.  Jon and Curt will serve on the board until April 2014; board members are elected to serve a four-year term.

Curt Klinkner was re-elected to serve as the association's president.  Association officers are elected by a vote of the board of directors  Curt will serve as president of the board until April 2012; board officers are elected to served a two-year term. The association's other current officers are Mike Hilla, vice-president and Brian Fait, secretary.  The treasurer office is currently open.

New undergraduate representatives to the board include: Joe Belmonte '12, replacing Aaron Braley, and Steve Henning '13, replacing Brian Schaeffer - who graduated this past week with a degree in Consumer Science - Personal Finance.  Pat Spiedel '11 is the third undergraduate representative to the BSAA board.

The annual meeting of the Badger Skulls Alumni Association will take place on Saturday, April 17th from noon to 2 pm.  The meeting will take place in room 3161 of the new Student Activity Center (SAC) inside the Lucky Building, located on the same site as the old University Square.  The annual meeting will be followed by the spring initiation ceremony and then the parent/alumni banquet.  See below for a complete listing of the weekend’s activities.

To find room 3161 in the SAC, go in the 333 East Campus Mall entrance which is on the Johnson St. side of the Lucky Building next to the Walgreens.  Then take the elevators to the third floor and turn left just before the front desk.  Next, go down the hall almost all the way and turn right, it is the only right you can take.   Proceed down the short hall and take a left. Room 3161 is the second room on the left.

Second annual BSAA sponsored Steak Night a huge success!

About 45 alumni, actives and potential new members were in attendance last Friday night for the second annual alumni association sponsored Steak Night at the Prime Quarter on E. Washington in Madison, WI.  Fifteen alumni and 12 potential members  were among the group as were the six graduating seniors this semester: Andrew Dolan, Joe Duratinsky, Josh Groth, Matt Marx, Dustry Pashouwer and Brian Schaeffer.  The soon-to-be graduates were honored by the BSAA with a free meal for their contributions to Alpha Theta and the other active members qualified for a free meal if they brought a new recruit.  Of the 12 recruits in attendance ? 5 signed their bids!
