What is Badger Skulls Alumni Association?

The Badger Skulls Alumni Association (BSAA), organized in the spring of 2009, is the officially recognized alumni chapter of the Alpha Theta Chapter of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the University of Wisconsin.

The BSAA's annual membership meeting is held during the month of April in Madison, WI.  All members of Alpha Theta, undergraduate or alumni, are welcome to attend.  During the annual meeting, all members of the BSAA elect individuals to serve on the association's board of directors.  The association is governed by a 12 member alumni-board who are elected on a rotating basis and serve a four-year term.  Most monthly board meetings are held via teleconference on the second Thursday of each month.  Board members also gather twice a year, once in February for planning purposes and once in April for the annual BSAA membership meeting.

Our mission is to perpetuate the existence of the Alpha Theta Chapter of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the University of WI, Madison by supporting the undergraduate members and uniting its alumni.  To that end, a total of $46,564 has been spent as of January 1, 2011 to support undergraduate and alumni chapter operations since the Phi Kappa Sigma International office received the first disbursement of the Spraker estate in October of 2007.  The vast majority of this sum, $37,626 has been spent on undergraduate chapter educational programming, operations and scholarships.

Please help us continue to support the undergraduate members.  Alumni of the Alpha Theta Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma can pay dues as follows:
    Annual Dues $18.50
    Lifetime Dues $500.00

Dues checks can also be mailed to:

96TH GRAND CHAPTER TO BE HELD IN LAS VEGAS, NV
Monday, January 02, 2012

Due to overwhelming popular demand by both undergraduates and alumni, for the first time in our fraternaty's 161-year history, Grand Chapter will be held in Las Vegas, NV.

While official business and educational opportunities are paramount to our organization's continued success, we realize a large part of the Grand Chapter experience is being in a fun location, seeing a new city, and sharing that time with other Phi Kaps from across North America.

We have confirmed $89/night room rates with the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV from August 2nd to August 5th, 2012.  Mark your calendar now and look for further information via email and in the Spring 2012 Maltese Cross.
